MATERIALS

Materials

AREPO selects materials according to the design of each piece, the strength required, the type of stone and the final aesthetic balance.

The choice of metal is not only a matter of value: it affects the durability, comfort, maintenance, colour and stability of the jewel over time.

Gold

Gold is the primary material used in AREPO jewellery.

It can be used in different alloys, selected according to the type of jewel and the strength required. Some pieces call for a harder, structurally more stable alloy — particularly where complex settings, significant stones or elements subject to greater wear are involved.

The most common variants include yellow gold, white gold and rose gold.

Silver

Silver may be used for selected pieces, or for designs that seek a balance between accessibility, aesthetics and lightness.

It is a precious metal valued for its brightness, but it requires more care over time than gold, as it can naturally oxidise or darken on contact with air, humidity, cosmetics or external agents.

Platinum

Platinum may be used for specific pieces, particularly where an especially strong, stable and prestigious metal is required.

It is valued for its density, durability and naturally light tone. It can be suitable for significant pieces or for settings that demand high structural strength.

Choosing the metal

Each material is assessed according to:

- the type of jewel;
- the size and shape of the stone;
- the complexity of the setting;
- the strength required;
- the desired colour;
- the final aesthetic balance.

AREPO favours a rational selection of materials: the metal must enhance the jewel, protect the stone and ensure lasting durability.

Caring for your jewellery

To preserve your jewel, avoid direct contact with perfumes, creams, detergents, chlorine, salt water and chemical products.

When not worn, the jewel should be kept in its presentation box or a separate pouch, to reduce the risk of scratches and knocks.
